Stress happens to us all. Whether you are tired from work, school or both there are times when you wish you could just take a break from it all and take care of you.
I truly believe in the value of self-care. Taking a weekend off from parties, dinners, friends and concentrating on you. Even if you cannot take a weekend, just a night will do.
It gives you the chance to concentrate on you and forget about the anxieties of life. Looking for some ways to explore self-care? Here are a few of my favorites:
- Long shower/bath
- Online shopping (typically just filling the cart, not buying)
- Reading a book I have not had time to read.
- Catching up on magazines
- Listening to a podcast
- Face masks
- Cooking a good dinner
It does not matter if you choose to do them all in one day, or split them over a few nights., Just remember to take time for yourself. You will thank yourself later!
